Stig of the Dump was a children’s book character, that lived in a cave at the local dump, surviving on the things he found. – It’s underlying message was we can be more sustainable with our lifestyle.
I try to follow Stig’s example and reuse, recycle, and restore the things I need. It’s been a rewarding challange and a surprisingly economical lifestyle choice.
When I’m not in my man-cave (the workshop under the house) I’m a writer of sorts, traveller, fan of classic aviation, street artist Banksy and New Zealand wines and food.
I appreciate your feedback – and happy to offer my thoughts if you have any questions. I’m also open to my work being cited in other blogs and sites – please just acknowledge the source.

Thanks Bob
Loved your site and thought your art created with disguarded industrial parts are excellent. Co-incidently there’s a similar metal artist working next to my ‘local dump’ where I source my parts and restoration projects from – so great (stig orientated) minds think alike.
Cheers for your comment
